High Performance Program

Bishop Druitt College endeavours to transform student lives and to develop students who are ‘world prepared’. We envision that the High Performance Program will be able to support students to meet their true potential and follow their dreams.

The program is designed to be supportive, flexible and responsive to individual student need, and will help provide our students who are at elite levels in performance, composing, dance and sports to continue to strive at the highest level.

Students will benefit from a series of master classes, be connected with ambassadors experienced in high level achievement and be presented with opportunities to further enhance their knowledge and skills in their chosen area of expertise. A flexible framework will focus on assisting our high performing students to help meet the demands of their busy lives and schooling requirements.

Inductees to the BDC High Performance Program have displayed an outstanding level of achievement in their chosen fields. Areas of expertise have included music, dance, modern pentathlon, football, swimming and rugby. Continued success requires dedication and commitment, and the HPP is designed to work with these talented performers as we support them on their journey.

High Performance Program Aims

  • To assist students to balance high performance with academic commitments
  • To promote a high performance culture within the college
  • To provide flexible curricular arrangements that acknowledge the demands placed on high performing students
  • To expose students to the invaluable knowledge and experience of experts in their chosen field and accomplished ambassadors who can assist with the pathway to success.

The High Performance Program will target wellbeing and academic support for high performing students who are successful in their application from Years 5 to 12. The High Performance Program is designed to assist students who have a significant commitment to rehearsing, performing, training, travelling and competing, and who are performing at high levels or meeting advanced performance standards.
