Oral History Presentation

 

 

Week of presentation: Week 4, Term 1.

 

Length: 3 - 5 minutes. Marks will be lost for presentations outside these limits.

 

Marks/ value: 20%.

 

Purpose: This task will assist students to recognise the importance of their own heritage from a historical perspective.

 

Task: You are to present a speech on the history of an item of your choice. You should research the history of your item and explain its significance to your class.

 

The item is to be of historical significance either to yourself or your family history. The item can be virtually anything. Check with your teacher if you are not sure.

·         Demonstrates a sound understanding of the task.

·         Holds audience interest and uses some visual aids

·         3-5 minutes in length.

·         Reasonably interesting

·         2-5 minutes in length
