Purpose of
this assignment:
The 1960s were a
boom time in post World War 11 Australian history, when the latest ideas and
culture were eagerly imported from overseas. This assignment will help students
to gain an understanding of the social and cultural features of the 1960s and
their role in shaping Australia’s identity.
Targeted outcomes:
5.1 Explains
social, political and cultural developments and events and evaluates their
impact on Australian life.

Locates, selects and
organises relevant historical information from a number of sources, including
ICT, to undertake historical inquiry.
5.10 Selects and uses appropriate written and other forms,

their impact on shaping our contemporary Australian identity.

graphs, timelines etc. Make
notes from the resources you choose.
Organise and Synthesise
Use the instructions you have been given in ‘Define’ above
to create subheadings for your
findings. Combine your notes from the different resources you used into your
own sentences and paragraphs under your chosen subheadings.

Your
information should be concise, informative and interesting.
