Length: You will be presenting a 5 - 6 minute visual or oral (or combination) presentation in pairs.

 

Marks / value: 15% of course mark.

 

Date due: Presentations begin Week 9.

 

Purpose of this assignment

To work towards these outcomes:

5.6          Explains commercial and legal information using a variety of forms

Task

Analyse your role in the Running a Business project and assess the class project from the perspective of Year 9 Commerce. Your visual/oral presentation should use technology where appropriate.

 


Assignment Details

 

Define the Task

# Analyse your role in the Running a Business project.

-          What was your role in the project?

-          What tasks did you perform?

-          Did your team work cooperatively and efficiently toward agreed outcomes? Why/Why not?

-          What could you as an individual or your team as a whole of done more effectively?

 

# Assess the Running a Business project from the perspective of Year 9 Commerce.

-          Was there a market for your product?

-          Was the product suited to the market that the class selected?

-          Was our idea feasible/realistic?

-          As a business enterprise, was the product successful? Why/why not?

 

In your answer you will also need to focus on all of the following in sufficient detail:

-          Your personal involvement in the Running a Business project.

-          The role of your department and its successes/failures.

-          Finance/administration of the product.

-          The choice of product and its appeal to the target market selected.

 

Locate Information

Look over any notes and plans you made during the entire project development process. Recall what was done and make notes that will assist you to answer the questions above.

Your information can be in the form of text, images, graphs, tables, statistics etc.

 

Organise and Synthesise

Your information needs to be organised logically into sections that reflect the parts of the task set out in Define the Task above.

 

Create and Present

Your oral presentation should be creative, realistic, informative and interesting. You should use presentation technology (such as PowerPoint, hyperlinked documents iMovie etc) that will assist you to convey your information clearly and concisely.
