Anti Bullying and Harassment

Bishop Druitt College is committed to providing a safe learning environment. The physical, emotional, moral and educational health of all students is valued above all else. The College actively discourages bullying and harassment of any kind, in line with current laws in New South Wales that state that bullying and harassment are illegal, as is the victimisation and harassment of anyone reporting bullying.

Child Protection

The focus of this College’s duty of care is the protection of children from abuse. The procedures followed by Bishop Druitt College must also be in accordance with all relevant legislation and will take into account other appropriate practices and guidelines aimed at the protection of children. The College’s policy and detailed procedures will be revised from time to time to take into account amendments to legislation and regulations.

Privacy

This statement outlines the College’s policy on how personal information provided to or collected by it is used and managed. The College is bound by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Commonwealth Privacy Act.

Procedural Fairness

Procedural fairness is a basic right of all individuals. In cases where there is a perceived incongruence between an individual’s actions and College rules and expectations the College will aim for a fair decision, reached by an objective decision making process.
