The Roger Oates Centre

The Roger Oates Centre (Coffs Coast Trade Training Centre) is the product of an Australian Government Trade Training Centres in Schools grant of $1.283m.

Completed in April 2014 and named after Bishop Druitt College’s second principal, Mr Roger Oates, the opening was a great celebration of a milestone in BDC’s history, as the college celebrated its 20th year.

Located next to The Branson Centre, The Roger Oates Centre (ROC) provides the school with an outstanding facility to offer Hospitality Certificate III training, as well as delivering practical lessons in hospitality across the secondary school.

The ROC is available for use by the wider Coffs Harbour community and sporting teams as a training or function centre, in consultation with the school. Primarily to be used in conjunction with The Branson Centre, the ROC consists of a large professional-standard training kitchen, an adjoining function room and an outdoor area.

Applications for the hire of the Roger Oates Centre should be submitted online on the facility hire form. Initial inquiries can be made by emailing the Roger Oates Centre Manager. Please supply a contact phone number so we can call you to discuss your inquiry.
