Performing Arts Scholarship Auditions
Thank you to all of the students who applied for a Performing Arts Scholarship. The panel was inundated with applications, which made shortlisting for auditions challenging.
Congratulations to all students who made it to the audition level. The panel was blown away by the talent shown and we wish to thank all students for sharing their passion and dedication to their artform.
ANZAC Service
Thank you Tim Hardman, Adelaide Robinson, Niuena Anderson and Kael Scott for their contributions towards the school ANZAC service on Friday 24th April. We greatly appreciate you leading the singing of the anthems and playing the Last Post.


Coastal Grown - Open Mic Night at the Hoey Moey
The Hoey Moey is hosting Open Mic Nights every Wednesday from 6:30pm. The evening is hosted by Dylan Wigley and is open to All Ages.
Adelaide Robinson attended the first one on Wednesday 22nd April, performing 4 songs. On Wednesday 6th May, Tim Hardman and Ollie Bond also attended and performed. This was a great opportunity for Adelaide, Tim and Ollie to perform in a gig-based venue and they all did a wonderful job.

Oliver! The Musical
Performing Arts students have been invited to see a school matinee performance of Oliver! The Musical the Jetty Theatre.
Secondary students will be attending a performance on Wednesday 13th May and Primary students will be attending the performance on Wednesday 20th May. Please see information in Parent Lounge regarding this excursion and if you have any questions please contact Mrs Rachel Caesar for Primary or Mrs Rebecca Day for Secondary.
Performing Arts Showcase
Students who are in the World Options courses for Performing Arts as well as Kaizen Drama have been busily preparing a Performing Arts Showcase evening. The students will present a range of performances from dance, drama, music and musical theatre in a number of shows for secondary students and also and evening show for parents and friends. This will occur on Tuesday 26th May and further details on how to secure tickets for this event will be released soon.
HSC Music Recital Evening Term 2
The Term 2 HSC Music recital evening will be held on Tuesday 23rd June. All students in the HSC Music courses will perform a different piece from their performance program than what they presented in the Term 1 concert. All are welcome to attend. This will be held in M3 from 5:30pm.
Ingrid Acheson

Congratulations to Ingrid Acheson (Year 8) who has been selected to perform as part of Opera Australia Children’s Chorus in their presentation of Don Giovanni on Saturday 8 August 2026.
This performance is taking place down at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie and is an amazing opportunity for Ingrid.

Calamity Thorncraft

Congratulations to Calamity Thorncraft who has been selected as a core dancer in the Movement Youth Dance Company following a successful audition at the Movement Dance Convention in March. She will now work with leading Australian choreographers and perform in the company’s July showcase.
She also delivered outstanding results at the Grafton Eisteddfod, placing 1st in Classical Ballet and Lyrical Open Solos, and 1st in the Intermediate Contemporary Championship. Calamity was additionally awarded the Senior Ballet Scholarship and the Adele Lewis Perpetual Aggregate Trophy for Jazz.
Recently, she attended the ADT Dance Convention on the Gold Coast, training with twelve choreographers over three days and auditioning for prestigious international programs, including Steps on Broadway (New York) and the Joffrey Ballet School (Chicago).
We look forward to seeing all that she will achieve next!

Mother's Day Breakfast
Thank you to year 12 students Tim Hardman, Ollie Bond, Lillian Cruwys, Finn Toovey-Powditch and Armaan Azad for performing at the Mothers Day Breakfast on Thursday 7th May. The students performed a range of songs from Coldplay, Extreme, Ed Sheeran and many more. They did a remarkable job. Well done year 12s.
Lucas Tai

Congratulations to Lucas Tai who has been accepted into the Sydney Symphony Playerlink Program.
Playerlink is a program that brings together aspiring music students from across NSW for a series of masterclasses and workshops led by Sydney Symphony musicians. The workshop is a three-day event, held between Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June at the New England Conservatorium of Music in Armidale.
Well done Lucas on this achievement.
Lunchtime Concerts are back
Due to popular demand, the Friday lunchtime concert series has returned. Every Friday, students are invited to attend M3 from 1pm for a concert showcasing a range of students in the college. Our concert series kicked off with year 12 students Tim Hardman and Ollie Bond who performed a number of covers of pop and rock songs on piano, guitar and vocals. Thank you to these students for starting off the series.
On Friday 8th May, Frank Lane and Daniel Vivas-Gutierrez performed a range of covers of pop and rock songs.

Secondary Assembly
Thank you to Sophia Walraven (Year 9) for performing “Adagio” by Bach on violin at the Week 2 Secondary Assembly and Tim Hardman (Year 12) who performed “Sleepless Dreams” by Anton Korini at the Week 3 Secondary Assembly.
As we all gather and stand upon Country, may we acknowledge and respect Gumbaynggirr Land and the thousands of years’ worth of both physical and spiritual connection to Country, culture and teachings embedded forever within these Lands.
