Alumni News: Longest-Serving Parents of BDC - Brad and Jenny Daymond
By Scott Rodham
Brad and Jenny Daymond hold the distinguished title of the longest-serving parents of Bishop Druitt College.
Brad and Jenny are the parents of four children, all of whom have attended Bishop Druitt College. Their firstborn, Blake, commenced his BDC journey in 2000 and completed Year 10 in 2010. He is currently pursuing a career in music on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Imogen completed Year 12 in 2022. She began working at BDC in August 2024 as a casual teacher’s aide for K-12 and, since last year, has taken on a part-time role in the Secondary LSC while studying for her Bachelor of Education/Secondary. Liam completed his HSC in 2024 and is currently studying Economics at Sydney University.
Their youngest child, Boz, is in Year 5. If you do the calculations, Brad and Jenny will have had at least one child at BDC as a student for 34 consecutive years if Boz completes his HSC at the college in 2033. What an achievement!
Jenny Daymond has been employed at BDC since 2020, working with enrolments. Her husband Brad, a well-known Coffs Harbour identity, is currently the General Manager of the Coastal and Golf Resorts Group.
The children’s enrolments are as follows:
Blake – Enrolled at BDC in 2000: Kindergarten to Year 10 in 2010
Imogen – Enrolled at BDC in 2012: Year 2 to Year 12 in 2022
Liam – Enrolled at BDC in 2012: Kindergarten to Year 12 in 2024
Boz – Enrolled at BDC in 2022: Year 1, currently in Year 5 (2026)
The Daymond family has a long and continued history and legacy at the college. We value and thank them for their ongoing support and commitment to our community.

As we all gather and stand upon Country, may we acknowledge and respect Gumbaynggirr Land and the thousands of years’ worth of both physical and spiritual connection to Country, culture and teachings embedded forever within these Lands.
