BDC Announces Innovative High Performance and Barracudas Partnership with McGrath Estate Agents

Bishop Druitt College has partnered with McGrath Estate Agents in a long-term community sponsorship model supporting the BDC Barracudas Sporting Club and High Performance Program. The partnership links property transactions with direct funding for grassroots sport and elite athlete development through to 2028.

A Landmark Community Partnership Supporting Local Sport and Elite Performance

Bishop Druitt College (BDC) is proud to announce a landmark community partnership with McGrath Estate Agents, designed to directly support both grassroots sport and elite athlete development through the BDC Barracudas Sporting Club and BDC High Performance Program.

The innovative three-way model creates a direct pathway where community engagement with McGrath Estate Agents generates funding for local sport and high-performance opportunities for student-athletes.

Supporting the BDC Barracudas Sporting Club

Under the agreement, McGrath Estate Agents will contribute a base sponsorship to the BDC Barracudas Sporting Club each year to support participation, equipment, coaching, and club development.

Funding the BDC High Performance Program

In addition, a performance-based model will see a contribution for each property transaction generated through the Barracudas referral system. Once the annual cap for Barracudas is reached, all additional funds will directly support the BDC High Performance Program (HPP), including athlete development, tours, competitions, travel, and scholarships.

The partnership, running through to May 2028, creates a unique “community to performance pathway,” ensuring that participation in local sport can directly contribute to elite development opportunities for regional student-athletes.

A Direct Pathway from Grassroots to Elite Athlete Development

BDC Head of High Performance, Natalie Titcume, said the partnership represents a significant step forward for student-athlete pathways.

It means our athletes can be supported from grassroots right through to elite performance pathways, with real, tangible backing from the local community. It connects ambition with opportunity in a very real way. That is why partnerships such as our collaboration with McGrath Estate Agents are so important.”

BDC Barracudas Sporting Club President, Simon Doyle, said the partnership strengthens the club’s long-term sustainability.

“This ensures our junior sport programs continue to grow and thrive. It’s a partnership that not only supports today’s players but builds the foundation for future generations of Barracudas athletes.”

Funds generated through the initiative will directly support athlete experiences and development opportunities, assisting with travel, competitions, tours, camps, and performance pathways for both individual athletes and the broader program.

By engaging McGrath Estate Agents for buying, selling, or property management services through the BDC partnership, every referral contributes directly to the BDC community — from grassroots sport within the Barracudas Sporting Club through to high-performance student-athletes across the region.

In addition to funding support, McGrath Estate Agents will feature monthly in the BDC Galiingawa newsletter, including branding and QR code integration, and will be promoted as a key partner in student-athlete development and community sport pathways.

The partnership highlights a shared commitment to community connection, regional opportunity, and long-term investment in youth development across both participation and elite performance pathways.

The partnership will also support opportunities for student-athletes enrolled through BDC Horizon Online, helping athletes across NSW balance high-performance sport with flexible education pathways.
