Bishop Druitt College Student Selected for Prestigious 2026 US Connect Tennis Training Camp
Bishop Druitt College is proud to announce that Year 9 student and talented tennis athlete, Jackson Cheney, has been selected to represent NSW Regional athletes at the prestigious 2026 US Connect Training Camp, held from 12th to 30th September at the renowned John Newcombe Tennis Academy in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.
This exclusive camp brings together the top junior tennis players from regional New South Wales and Victoria, providing them with an unparalleled opportunity to train in a world-class academy environment and experience firsthand the demands of international-level tennis.
The 2026 US Connect Training Camp offers a full-time, high-performance training schedule where athletes like Jackson will develop their technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills under the guidance of elite international coaches. The program also includes visits to five US colleges, including Texas State University and Trinity College, offering invaluable exposure to collegiate tennis pathways and academic opportunities in the United States.
