Head of Primary's News 2026 Term 3 Week 3

Welcome back to Term 3!
I hope your family had a restful break and enjoyed a wonderful start to the new term. Term 3 is always one of our most dynamic and engaging times in Primary, packed with learning, community events, and plenty of excitement. There is so much happening across our school this term, including our Father’s Day BBQ Breakfast, ICAS assessments, and upcoming camps for Years 1, 2, and 4.
Book Week Celebrations: We are diving into literacy with our upcoming Book Week parade based on our "Symphony of Stories" theme! We can’t wait to see all our students dressed up in their creative Book Week costumes. Siblings are welcome to join our book parade too.
BDC Parent Collective Event Series: We are excited to continue our BDC Parent Collective sessions held in the BDC Theatre. These practical sessions bring in expert presenters to support families with key topics like supporting student wellbeing and understanding complex behavioural needs. Keep an eye on school communications to book your spot!
Academic Progress & Reporting: As we move into the second half of the school year, we are focused on mid-year progress and goal-setting initiatives. Please note that in Term 3 we have no formal parent-teacher interviews; however, these are optional, so please feel free to email your child's teacher if you would like to request an interview this term.
Winter Wellness & Attendance: With the colder mornings here, please remember to keep unwell children at home to rest and recover during the peak cold/flu season. At the same time, we encourage consistent attendance whenever students are healthy to keep their learning momentum strong.
