Meet Jack Miles, Hoys Physiotherapist

You may have seen Jack Miles around the school working with our High Performance Students program. Jack is one of the Physiotherapists from Hoys Health, helping students with injury management, recovery, rehabilitation and performance.

Originally from Ballina, Jack moved to Orange to complete his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in 2024. Sport has always been a huge part of his life, from Rugby League and Touch Football through to AFL and running.

Jack understands firsthand how frustrating injuries can be for athletes, especially when they keep you away from sport and your mates. He says Physiotherapy became his way to stay involved in sport and help others perform at their best.

Throughout his studies and career, Jack has worked with the Gold Coast Suns Academy, Essendon Football Club physiotherapy support, the Tasmanian Devils, Orange Emus Rugby Club and the World Athletics Cross Country Championships.

Jack is passionate about youth athlete development, injury prevention and evidence-based rehabilitation, with particular interests in running injuries, concussion management, ACL rehab and athlete performance.

One of the biggest things Jack wants students to understand is that injury prevention starts with the basics:

• Good training load management
• Sleep
• Nutrition

While recovery tools can help, these foundations matter most.
