Small Device, Big Impact: Join Our DV Safe Phone Campaign

At Bishop Druitt College, we believe that Generosity of Spirit isn't just a value we teach, it’s a value we live. We are proud to partner with the Coffs City Rotary Club to support a life-changing initiative: DV Safe Phone.
What is DV Safe Phone?
For someone escaping domestic violence, a mobile phone is more than just a gadget; it is a lifeline. It provides a way to call for help, access support services, and stay connected to loved ones during their most vulnerable moments.
Many people fleeing dangerous situations have their phones tracked, broken, or taken away. DV Safe Phone collects, repurposes, and distributes donated phones to those in need via undercover law enforcement and domestic violence support services.
How You Can Help
Through our friends at Rotary, BDC has been provided with a dedicated collection box. We are calling on our community to dig through those "junk drawers" at home and donate any unused mobile phones.
What we need:
- Working mobile phones (smartphones are preferred, but all working models are welcome).
- Chargers and cables (if you still have them).
- Important: Please ensure you have erased your data and performed a factory reset before donating.

You can drop your devices into the DV Safe Phone collection box located at BDC Reception.
By donating your old phone, you are providing security, agency, and hope to someone in our wider community. Let’s show the power of the BDC spirit and fill this box to the brim!
