Primary NCIS Basketball

On Tuesday, the 17th of February, we had 4 Primary teams compete at the NCIS Basketball Championships at Sportz Central. With strong enthusiasm and determination, our students represented Bishop Druitt College with pride and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship across the entire day.

Victory went to both the girls and boys teams, who remained undefeated, displaying impressive teamwork, skill and perseverance in every game. The Mixed and the Barbarians teams also played with great effort throughout the day, showing fantastic resilience and determination. Both teams came away with one win on the day.

A special congratulations goes to our Most Valuable Players:

  • Ace Dusting for the Boys’ team, who led with confidence and showed energy throughout every game.
  • Persia Vongxayalath for the Girls’ team, whose energy, skill and leadership stood out across the day.

Congratulations to all players and our Secondary coaches for their support and guidance. A big thank you to all the secondary students who refereed and kept score throughout the day. It was a wonderful day of basketball, and we are incredibly proud of the way our teams represented BDC both on and off the court.

Secondary NCIS Swimming

36 students from Years 7–12 recently travelled to Alstonville to compete in the NCIS Swimming Carnival. The team represented the College with great spirit and determination throughout the day.

The weather was beautiful and helped create a positive atmosphere, with students supporting one another and giving their best in every event. There were some outstanding performances in the pool, and it was pleasing to see a number of our swimmers (15) qualify for the CIS Carnival to be held in Sydney this May.

Several students were also recognised as Age Champions, an excellent achievement and a reflection of their hard work and dedication. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to represent BDC, and they should be proud of the way they competed and conducted themselves throughout the carnival.

Primary NCIS Swimming

Their performances were impressive, and they displayed incredible pride and enthusiasm throughout the day.

From individual races to relay events, our swimmers gave it their all, demonstrating both competitive spirit and teamwork. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding efforts, and we are incredibly proud of how they represented BDC at this exciting event!

Congratulations to the 13 BDC swimmers who headed to Sydney as a part of the NCIS Swim Team to compete at the CIS Primary Swimming Championships at the prestigious Sydney Aquatic Centre, Homebush.
