Welcome back to Term 2! We missed you!
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Welcome back to Term 2! We missed you! All staff are extremely excited to start to welcome increased student numbers onsite from Week 3.
ANZAC Day
With no involvement with public marches during ANZAC Day this year the college took the opportunity to join the RSL services at the end of driveways around our region. The college also pre-recorded a service that was shared through our Facebook channel on Tuesday 28 April at 10:00am. If you missed this service it is now available on our YouTube channel.
Stage 1 Project - The Investigation Centre
Our Stage 1 project is starting to take shape and in the next newsletter we will share an artist’s impression of this exciting vision and the purpose of this new resource.
Open Day - 26 May
Our annual Open Day will take a different shape in 2020 due to the COVID-19 restrictions. We will still be celebrating this event and by Week 5 we are expecting student numbers to increase markedly. Open Day will, however, have an alternative, innovative and exciting structure. There will be 10 opportunities for personalised physical tours, opportunities for virtual tours, and scheduled Zoom live meetings to chat to a teacher. Please help us spread the word of this exciting day.
Congratulations are in order for Mrs Karin Lisle who has been appointed Principal of Clarence Valley Anglican school commencing 1st of June. I would like to thank Karin for her service to the college and I look forward to continuing to work together.
Sarah Stokes will be the Acting Head of Primary while this position is advertised so congratulations are in order for Sarah as well.

Extra class in Year 7 for 2021
Due to an increased demand for places in Year 6 and Year 7 this year, the College Council will be making the decision on whether to run a 5th class in Year 7 for 2021. If you know a family that is thinking about starting their BDC journey please encourage them to contact the college as quickly as possible. We will be making this decision by the end of May. Please contact Julie Eckford in enrolments for more information or to organise a Principal’s tour via enrolments@bdc.nsw.edu.au.
