BDC is a strong community with a global education perspective, offering the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and international experiences through our service learning programs, study tours and Round Square conferences.

Bishop Druitt College is the premier education institution in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. Our K-12 campus is only 4 km from the city’s CBD. 

Staff members are required to participate willingly in the running of the extensive co-curricular program of the college in areas such as their faculty or stage, sport, community service or clubs. Staff also take leadership in the pastoral care of a group of students. Candidates may be required to take part in one of the year-level camps that are a normal part of the college’s outdoor education program.

General Employment Requirements

Applicants must be either an Australian citizen or a permanent resident, or hold an appropriate permit to work in Australia. 

Under child protection legislation, a current Working With Children Check clearance is a prerequisite for all employees and volunteers in child-related employment. Requirements for Teaching Positions

Applications must be accredited to teach in NSW and hold a NESA registration number. For more information please visit the NSW Educational Standards Authority website.  

Applicants must hold a current first aid certificate or be prepared to acquire one.
