Bishop Druitt College 2022 scholarship recipients with Principal, Nick Johnstone.

Thirty-nine of the top-performing students of the Coffs Coast region have been awarded scholarships to attend Bishop Druitt College in 2022.

Scholarships were awarded to students from Nambucca to Mullaway, and recognise and reward high achievers and individuals who demonstrate results and potential in academia, sports, performance, and the arts.

The scholarship recipients for 2022, ranging from 2022 entry into year 3 to year 12, attended Bishop Druitt College to receive their scholarship awards, and to meet with the Principal, Nick Johnstone.

Mr Johnstone says: "At Bishop Druitt College, we believe that it's important to recognise outstanding achievement and dedication - and our scholarship program shines a light on these wonderful young students, and acknowledges their hard work.”

“We welcome these outstanding achievers to the college, and look forward to working with them to further develop their skills throughout their journey at the college."

To gain a scholarship at BDC, students need to excel in a number of different areas, such as sport, music, drama, dance, visual arts, textiles and design, academics and STEM. The selection includes a rigorous application process, including endorsements from public referees, selected staff and heads of school. This year, there were 144 outstanding applicants.
