Careers - Congratulations to Lachlan Evans - WHS White Card Course - UCAT Preparation Series
Wednesday, 27 Mar 2024Congratulations to Lachlan Evans!
We want to recognise and celebrate our Year 11 student, Lachy Evans, for starting a School Based Traineeship with Bonville Golf Resort. Lachy will be completing this traineeship whilst studying a Certificate II in Cookery here at BDC and completing in Year 12.
A big congratulations to Lachy, we wish you all the best! We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Bonville Golf Resort for taking on and supporting Lachlan, this is a great partnership and we look forward to seeing Lachlan’s progress and development.
WHS White Card Course
We received and awarded WHS White Card certificates to those students in Year 10 and Year 11 that completed this course at BDC earlier this term. Further to this, we received some very positive feedback from Paul at Learning Live - Men at Work who was the trainer and assessor of this course. He was very impressed with how engaged and focused the students were, along with how polite and pleasant the group was to teach. Congratulations to all students who completed this course and thank you for being fine examples of our community here at BDC. We are looking forward to running this course again next year.
UCAT Preparation Series
We held the first of our 3 series of workshops for students wishing to sit the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) in 2024 to apply for entry into medicine, dental or clinical science degree programs at universities requiring this test. We look forward to holding the 2nd session - Exam Preparation and 3rd session - Interview Preparation in Term 2.
If there is anyone in our BDC community who are medical professionals and would like to assist a group of Year 12 students in preparing for a university medical entry interview we would love to hear from you! It would be great for our aspiring medical, dentistry and clinical science students to sit a practice interview and receive feedback to better prepare them before the real thing. If you are interested in assisting and have some time available during the week of 27th - 31st May 2024, please email Ms Janine Ryan, jryan@bdc.nsw.edu.au
