Year 10 Career Expo

Last week, 56 students from Year 10 opted to attend the Midcoast Connect Career Expo at Coffs Harbour Racecourse. Students were able to speak directly to exhibitors from a wide range of businesses and training providers to gather information for future study and career options. I was very proud when several of the exhibitors mentioned how polite and engaged our Year 10 students were on the day.

Check out our Careers Facebook page for more pics of the day and to keep up with all our Careers News.

Great opportunities to check out University Options

As part of the BDC Career Pathways Program, we are committed to working with our university partners to offer opportunities for our students to get a feel for what the different universities can offer.

Last term, we visited Charles Sturt University. Year 9 took also participated in a fabulous course taster day at Southern Cross University.

This term we have offered our senior student's campus trips to the University of New England, and an excursion to the University of Sydney, UTS, UNSW, and Macquarie University. On campus at BDC, we have been fortunate to have Griffith University and the University of Newcastle visit us.
