Year 10 Career Days
Our Year 10 students started Term 3 with great momentum during our signature Year 10 Career Exploration Days. Students participated in activities exploring their interest areas, personal strengths, and career personalities, while also investigating post-school pathways including university, TAFE, vocational education and training, and apprenticeships/traineeships.
A highlight of these days was our BDC Year 10 Career Expo, featuring a diverse range of exhibitors including local businesses, universities, and education providers such as TAFE NSW. Students had valuable opportunities to meet with exhibitors, ask questions, and gather information to help them make informed decisions about their Year 11 and 12 subject selections and future career pathways.
It has been wonderful working more closely with our Year 10 cohort to start the term. They represented themselves exceptionally well and received many positive comments from exhibitors. Thank you to both our Year 10 students and our wonderful exhibitors for another successful Career Expo.
Bond University Visits BDC
We were delighted to host Bond University representatives who visited BDC to speak with Years 10, 11, and 12 students about course offerings, application processes, scholarships, and pathways. University visits are particularly valuable for regional students, providing them with firsthand information to make informed decisions about their future studies.
Year 12 students had the opportunity to meet with Bond University's Student Recruitment Team, who work directly with students throughout their application process. Year 11 students attended to ask questions about future study options, while Year 10 students posed thoughtful questions about subject selections for Years 11 and 12. Well done to all students who attended and actively engaged in conversations that will help set them up for future success!
