Southern Cross University Scholars Program - Caroline Mostert
Congratulations to our Year 11 student, Caroline Mostert, who successfully completed the Southern Cross University Scholars Program!
This program is available to Year 11 students wishing to get a head start on their university studies and allows students to receive academic credit towards a degree in a relevant area of study. Caroline studied the Introduction to Science for Health Professions stream, and has been able to see what university level of studies is like as well as receive a direct entry offer to a relevant university course after completion of Year 12. Caroline has done an outstanding job juggling Year 11 coursework and the Scholars Program. She has achieved an overall distinction grade for her unit of study, and received the Southern Cross Advance Silver Scholarship. Well done Caroline!
TAFE NSW Yes Program
This week is National Careers week and what a better way to kick off the week than with the TAFE NSW Yes Program. This program is a youth engagement strategy program and aims to give students a glimpse of what studying different TAFE courses would be like. Students will attend their program of choice one day per week for the next six weeks participating in theory and practical lessons. We have three students attending programs in retail-pharmacy and construction, which will assist our students with subject selections and external TAFE NSW course options for Years 11 and 12.
