I would like to write on behalf of our BDC Council members at this important time in our college life.

Earlier this year, we began a search for our next college Principal. We received an enormous response, with applications from across the country and internationally, showcasing our college's strong reputation in the educational landscape.

After a thorough process, I am both proud and delighted to endorse Mr. Simon Doyle as the next Principal of Bishop Druitt College.

Simon has worked alongside our College Leadership Team for over seven years. He knows our culture, our vision, and our people. He is a driver of innovation, a leader of relationships, and a guardian of our college values.

Simon’s leadership style is grounded in faith, trust, and a profound respect for every voice in our community. He brings not only experience but also heart. His deep understanding of our strategic direction and his commitment to servant leadership makes him the right person to take us forward.

I’ve had the great fortune of working closely with Simon. He is an outstanding educator, a man of integrity, and someone who leads with courage and compassion. His passion for education is matched only by his belief in the potential of every learner.

Simon officially started the role of Principal at the beginning of Term 2, 2025.

We have scheduled a Planning Day for mid-June, during which members of the College Council and College Leadership Team will spend the day reviewing our current School Improvement Plan (SIP) and determining our direction moving forward. 

As we enter this next phase, I want to thank each of you (parents, carers, students, and staff) for your ongoing support and commitment to our shared vision.

The future of Bishop Druitt College is bright, and with Simon at the helm, it will continue to flourish.
