BDC Dance Academy Shines at Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod

Last week, more than 200 students from our BDC Dance Academy brought energy, enthusiasm, and heart to the stage for the Schools Education Day at the Coffs Harbour Dance Eisteddfod. From Kindy dancers beaming with pride as they came off stage shouting “I loved that!” to our boys’ group wowing the crowd, and our senior performers delivering powerful, polished routines. The day was a celebration of creativity.

Our HSC Dance students also had the opportunity to share their works-in-progress, gaining valuable experience and insight as they prepare for their final exams. Their maturity and commitment were inspiring.

Across all year levels, it was a joy to see students embracing performance and working together with such pride. The spirit of the Dance Academy — one of collaboration, growth, and self-expression — was on full display.

Thank you to our academy teachers, student mentors, and guest choreographers who continue to guide and support our dancers. The joy and confidence our students show on stage speaks volumes about the strength and impact of our Dance Academy programs.

World Options Drama Showcase - Musical Theatre

On Wednesday 11th June, our talented World Options Musical Theatre class took to the stage to perform an incredible showcase for parents and friends! Not only did they sing, dance, and act with passion, but they also choreographed and directed several of their own numbers.

A huge thank you to our Year 11 Entertainment Crew for expertly managing the lighting, stage, and sound.

Well done to all involved!

Lunchtime Concert

Thank you to the Year 12 Music students who performed at the Week 6 Lunchtime Concert.

Secondary Assembly

Thank you to Matthew Healy (Year 10) for performing "Amber's Embrace" by Paul Davids on guitar at the Week 6 Secondary Assembly.

In Week 7, Sofia Bravo (Year 8), Sophia Walraven (Year 8) and Zitong Lin (Year 8) performed ‘From the Start’ by Laufe. These students placed first in the year 7/8 Music Class section of the Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod this year with this piece.

Congratulations to the students.
