Seen Yas on Show
Congratulations to all of the Year 12 Performing Arts students who shared their works at Seen Yas On Show on Thursday 24 July.
The evening was a wonderful showcase of talent not only in the Performing Arts but also Visual Arts, Textiles, Industrial Technology, and English Extension 2.
Thank you in particular to our HSC teachers who assisted with the preparation of the student works and a massive thank you to Ms Baldwin and the Year 11 Entertainment students who made the event seamless with their backstage work, sound and lighting.
Matthew Healy
Thank you to Matthew Healy who performed guitar at the welcoming ceremony for the Japanese exchange students on Monday 28 July.
HSC Dance Showcase
On Monday 28 July, the HSC Dance students presented their Core Performances, Core Compositions and Major Works to an audience of family, friends and staff in the Dance Studio.
The students did an amazing job and showcased a broad range of talent throughout the evening.
NESA will be onsite on Monday 18 August to assess their Major Works and we wish them well for their final preparations.
Please note that Bishops Blend will be closed on that day to accommodate these exams.

Marion Grove
Congratulations to Josh Wing, Ella-Grace Chowdury and Sarah Jupe who performed at Marion Grove Retirement Village. Thank you to accompanist Mei Wei Lim for organising this performance opportunity for the students.
Olivia Hoare and Camble Scott
Congratulations to Olivia Hoare and Camble Scott who passed their practical auditions at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in the holidays. They now have conditional entry to study Music at a tertiary level at the Sydney Con which is wonderful news and a fantastic recognition of their hard work, dedication and technical ability. Well done Camble and Liv.
AMEB Exams
Good luck to all of our Music students who are preparing for their upcoming AMEB exams. There are a number of students sitting these exams over the coming weeks and we wish them well in their final preparations.
Lower Clarence Music Eisteddfod held in Maclean.

1st place- PIANO 10 yrs + under Romantic/20th or 21st century solo
1st place- PIANO 8-10 years Solo (Any style)
Callum Walraven (Year 6)
1st place- PIANO 11-14 years Baroque/Classical solo
1st place- PIANO 11-14 years Romantic/20th or 21st century solo
1st place- PIANO 16 yrs + under Junior Piano Championship
Winner: Special Award Ted and Joy de Roos Award for the most Outstanding Piano Performance not played in the Championship.
Sophia Walraven (Year 8)
1st place- STRINGS 11-14 years Baroque/Classical solo
2nd place- STRINGS 11-14 years Romantic/20th or 21st century
HC- 16 yrs + under Junior Instrumental Championship
Holly and Callum were also chosen to perform in the Lower Clarence Eisteddfod Gala concert, which highlighted some of the best performances of the eisteddfod.

Bellingen Jazz Festival
The Bellingen Jazz Festival will be held on the weekend starting Friday 15 August. Students under the age of 18 are allowed free entry. Some of our music tutors, Pablo Blitzer and Emiliano Beltzer, will be performing. For more details > https://beyondjazzweekender.com.au/program
