Performing Arts update - 2021 Term 4 Week 2

Wednesday, 13 Oct 2021

Welcome back to Term 4 2021.

We are welcoming a new guitar teacher Emiliano Beltzer to our Performing Arts Team - read more about Emiliano here

Drama and Music Practical exams for HSC are now marked and have been entered onto the NESA site.

A big thank you to all our wonderful students in year 12 who have been able to cope with all the changes and uncertainties of this time. As you will be aware it has really affected their opportunities to perform in front of live audiences. They have done extremely well.

We wish them all well for their futures and hope they continue to be part of the greater Performing Arts Community.

Musical

I would like to mention again a big thank you to all the students and staff who put so much preparation into the musical. Fronting up for endless rehearsals in their lunchtimes, before and after school and holidays. We were all saddened by the news at the end of term 3 that because of COVID we were not going to get to perform this live.

Your skills that you have learnt in learning and rehearsing for the show will not go amiss.

Thanks for your enthusiasm and time.

Thanks for supporting all our music tutors who have had to go online to teach their lessons with our students. You have been amazing. Hopefully we will soon be back to  face to face teaching and be able to run all our Ensembles.

Take care, play lots of music, dance and enjoy drama. Look forward to when we can all get together again.

Until then, please enjoy these short recordings of year 4 students playing the Ukelele, and ELC playing the 'Surprise Symphony'.
