Basketball National Championships

The many hours given by the girls and boys in the lead-up and the dedication and coaching of Zara Baldwin and Rob Linton set both the boys and girls team up for a great tournament.

The boys competed in under 17 Div 4 mens and won their last game to put them in 5th position out of 10 teams.

Joe Moran finished top of the leaderboard for the most free throws and 5th overall for most points. Jackson Joice finished in the top 20 out of 100 boys. A great effort and achievement for the team.

The girls had a great tournament in the Under 17 Div 2 womens competition.

The team was composed of students in yrs 8 ,9, 10, and 11 and made it to the gold medal game with Anna Crawley and May Crooke finishing in the top 10 scorers of their division.

The girls team in the gold medal game were behind all of the game and only took the lead in the last 90 seconds of the game to hold on to win and be the Gold Medal National Basketball Champions.
